Well after of this, the sound ended up being the washers on my frankecar intake. Lucky, Nissan will only ding me for an hour labour on that. For all you guys using frankencar intakes, that bolt on to the strut assebly, beware, they dont allow for alot of play, thus, squeeeks and stuff!

This is funny, but I had the same exact problem and my dealer installed rubber bushing with that bolt that attaches to strut tower and the noise went away. They didn't charge me for anything either. I was thinking it was something up with my clutch because they did work on my clutch and that is when I started getting sqeeeks.
I had intake for about a year without having bushing on that bolt that attaches to strut tower and I had no sound at all. Turns out they had to take intake out to change the clutch. When they put it together I guess they didn't do it exactly as I did it a year ago, so the noise appeared.

I felt kinda bad when they told me that it was because of my intake, but they were cool about it. It took them about 4 days to figure out where the noise was coming from

Having bushing there is a good idea, so for anyone installing FrankenCar intake and attaching that braket to the strut tower I would recommend installing that bushing. It is a similar rubber busing with washer inside of it that is on stock intake.

Speaking of the intake...Anyone using the stock scoop hear a rattling coming from the intake? I can't tell if its from the intake or the scoop rattling.

I am using stock scoop and don't have any rattling. You can remove the scoop and see if the rattle still there.

Well, just got back. Yes, they installed a rubber bushing to keep it from squeeking. I paid for 1 hours labour, cause they had the car for 2 days. Nissan techincal support helped them resolve the issue. I dont care. I also just finished installing the stock rubber coupling so the motor can bend easier. Fudge. Oh well.

Yeah I am in Boston, MA. I really like this dealer they always been kinda good to me. My service advisor was even asking me if he should get the same intake for his Max.

I think one of the reasons why they didn't charge me anything for fixing noise from intake was because after they did the clutch TSB I had some noise that was coming from what turned out to be heatshield underneath the car. So they adjusted it and it went away and then this noise started happening, so I was upset that it is something up with the clutch, etc. Turned out of course that it was because of my intake.

But either way they could of told me to pay for labor they spend on tracking down this noise that was coming from my intake. I guess they like me.

I like this dealer, only problem is that I usually have to come back at least two/three times to get one problem fixed.

I think I should. They do make me mad sometimes, like my car was at the dealer for about two days now and they couldn't figure out that my rear mount is broken. Now I got the car back yesterday and have to go back Monday when the get the part. They cool and all it is just sometimes it takes a while to get one problems fixed.

Stupid weak engine mounts.

I know, but pure bull****. I will say this though, this type of thing shows, that mechanics have a one track mind. Always think they know the answer. They said it was clutch, even ordered one.
