I am trying to be as calm as I can....basically my installer hooked the wrong hose to the fuel rail/fmu/fpr. He got the one that was supposed to go to the rail --> fpr backwards with the one that was supposed to go to the fpr -->fmu. So that's been the f'ing problem all this time. I have been driving with pressure going backwards and I've been boosting. I'm surprising my f#cking engine didn't blow up.

Anyways, story time for later. I removed the fuel pump fuse and started the car to drop pressure. I switched the hoses back to how they were supposed to be, put the fuse back in and started the car. The car started without stuttering, but the FP shot to 100+psi. I took off the lock nut off the FPR and proceeded to *TRY* and turn the pressure down, but the PSI remained at 100. I tried clockwise first, then counterclock wise (i don't know which f#cking way to go) to turn down the pressure, neither worked. I tried turning off the car and restarting and repeating the process to no avail.

Someone help me out please, asap...

 

Fuel started spewing out my exhaust so I had to shut the car off. 100psi of fuel through the engine at idle can't be a good thing

Better reinstall the oem fpr, Craig, if you can't get it adjusted back down. But you're sure you got the fuel lines right, now? They should run: fuel tank --> filter --> rail --> fpr --> fmu --> return to tank

ok that issues resolved.... it's hooked up fine... now the issue is that he's not getting fuel while putting the key in the on position without starting... he gets 0 psi of f/p

 

That's the way it's supposed to be. The pump will prime for about 2 seconds then shut off if the car isn't started.

The pump primes to about 9ish PSI, and weakly dies down to 0. 11 stutters on start up is a bad sign too. After installing my lines backwards (*cough*with sexima's advice over the phone*cough*) I was hitting 100psi. It turns out it was installed correctly the FIRST time. But while I was at 100psi, my car still started fine. But that's just becuase of the massive amounts of fuel, even though things were backwards.

Im in the garage now re-wiring it, and adjusting the FP to ~35ish. Tommorow (fri) I go to the shop to help install the S-AFC. I am really looking forward to solving this freakin' fuel issue, and i'll keep everyone posted. Maybe someone will benifit with the knowledge in the future, from ...ME.
