People with home made grills

Well i bought a peice of aluminum mesh grille. Well i am putting it on the bottom grille place, not the main grill. My question is how did you guys get the grill to stay there did you use ties or what?

i have one... i used some small ties and i got them from the local home imporvement store..
i attachedn them on the top and bottom.. and got them real tight... you can barely notice them...
