Exhaust dangling.
Exhaust dangling.
I had midas fix my ypipe, they said that it was hitting the body. this was like 2-3weeks ago. Now i realize there's a metal clanking with some accelerations and turns. I thought it was my jack so i took it out. It turns out it was my muffler's hanger hitting this metal round thing. Also, my friend says that it swings back and forth. Im assuming that it's not supposed to do this. The muffler sticks out a little from when they fixed my ypipe. i dont really know why it would dangle so much since there are hangers there. Also, i forgot to mention, i lowered my car on tuesday, and the clanking really was prominent after the drop. Any suggestions?
thanks

One: take off you rear tow hook next to the exhaust.
Two: Buy new hangers and rehang the exhaust, cut a piece of the old hanger and wedge it between the hanger and tow hook. This is what I did.
I hope this helps. THe second option should also make your exhaust a little more quiet

Ok, first you have two choices.
