CustomMaxima.com FSTB questions.

OK I gOt my Custom Maxima front strut bar today. And fro starters it was assemled wrong and came w/ directions.

There was a small ring under the strut nuts on my 2k SE. It's around 3/8 wide and .093 thick w' a small bent tab on it. Does anyone know what I'm talkng about and should I take it off befor puting the black CM front strut bar brackets on ?

There are no lock washers where the chrome I bolts go into the black brackets. Should I use some or some LocTite? Do you tighten them all the way or leave some play so the Bar can "float"?

Is the bar tuneable ? How tight do you make the bar.
( SHORTER or LONGER ) Does this effect handling?

Thanks in advance, Ecko

sorry i don't have an answer and i don't wanna steal your post but how could you pay so much for a fstb. custommaxima and stillen are crazy. damn near $100 for a strut brace? more for a stillen. it's B.S. i had a stb for my 95 max tht cost me ~$25. never had a problem. now i can't even find one that cheap. it's robbery.

BP2K2Max,
If you wanna call $59.00 "damn near $100"
thats OK but I dont think $60 bucks is too much.
I got rotors pads intake and window shields so the shipping wasn't a big deal. I was paying it anyway.

i dont think you can even put the fstb brackets on there without taking the other ones off first...that's what i did....and tighten everything, the bar should not move meaning you have to tighten where the brackets attach to the bar as well as the brackets on the strut towers...if you can swivel the bar around, you f'd up, and you need to tighten a little more...
