Running Speaker Wire Through Doors for Tweeters

My tweeters are in the A-Pillars but my x-overs and mid-bass are in my door. It's a 2003 Maxima SE w/out Bose (now ). Anyways, how do I run the speaker wire thorugh the door into the car and up to the A-Pillar. Getting it up to the A-Pillar is not hard, but getting it through the door is...

What do you think.. I've done some searches and found some options, but I'm looking for a more definitive answer..

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Thanks Tony, I guess I need to go to an audio store and ask them to drill some holes for me, huh?

Someone told me there was some kind of "right angle drill bit" or something you can get.. Might save me some money from having a shop do this... ???

If I remember correctly, yes, a right angle drill would help tremendously. You can only open up the door so much. I took off the "hinge" thing that kept the door from opening too far, but even with it removed there's not much room. However, I believe you could probably drill the hole behind the kick panels with a very long drill bit and a flashlight. I would ask an audio shop to see how much they charge before buying your own specialized tool (unless you're like me and will keep it forever and use it again one day!)

Run your wires like I had to do. I went through the firewall into engine bay then fished wire through fender. Then cut small slit in the rubber grommet where your other factory wires run through and insert wire. I personally think I would rather my way rather than drilling through door jam.

Thomasd cook, I saw the opening in the fender and that is how my friend did it with his Civic, but how did you get your wires up into the fender on the Max??

Won't they get cut up in there upon vibration when driving around??

I wire loomed the whole wire throughout the engine to protect against heat. I think you have to worry more about the hole drilled rather than the fender cutiing into wire. I used a hanger to fish it out of the fender. There should be a hole in the fender right near the fire wall you pop through. I know there were holes there already. I'll check on mine.
