2k3 Mirror with compass

Does anyone know if there is a problem with replacing my 2k2 mirror with a 2k3? I really would like the compass feature.

simple and cheap solution...buy a radar detector w/ a compass feature

How is that cheap exactly? lol Radar Detectors are illegal in some states also...

I would imagine that the mirror would work, I wouldn't mind that feature either...

OT- I hate my autodimming mirror. I ripped the harness out of the back of it and stuffed it back behind the sunglasses holder. I got tired of seeing green lights in my rear view mirror.

Anyhow, a compass would be cool.

Your kidding right? Why didnt you just turn off the autodimming feature instead of trashing it? Will do wonders for your resale.

I have a 2k3 SE & TE Maxima, and my mirror only shows direction. How do you get the temp to show up?

its not suppose to show temp...only direction

Because then everytime you drive you have to hit OFF to turn off autodimming, I've thought of doing this also, but I'm in the habit of hitting that damn off button!

With 20% tint, you never get blinded.

Got 20 on my rear window as well, but you get some dumb-*** who can't aim HIDs or worse yet have highbeams on, and it still gets 'glarey' (sp?)

why dont you just disconnect the power wire for the mirror under the dash and be done with it. That way you can always plug it back in when you sell your car.

I have an '03 TE and there is NO temp in the mirror....there IS one in the digital info box (that the mpg, and DTE info is also stored in) that's under the tachometer. Pushing the "TRIP" button on the left-side steering controls will scroll through to see that.
