I've owned one bra since I've had my license. Never again. You seriously need to take the stupid thing off every time it rains or if you wash your car. Otherwise, yes, in the long run it will damage your paint. Any instructions I have ever read that comes with them will all tell you the same thing.

Just not my cup of tea I guess.

hey, i have the leather bra cause i travel often, helps protect from bugs, paint chips etc... i don't leave it on all the time. it took me a while to figure out how to put it on at first, but now it takes 15 min. or less. true putting it on and taking it off can be a hassle... but for me its worth it... i hope this helps.

I use it for highway travel only... in bug season (here in Florida thats pretty much all year) it's worth its weight in gold.

No doubt...I'm getting to where I won't drive it at night I'm so sick of scrubbing the bugs off. This car seems to collect more bugs than any other - maybe I just notice it on the color, or maybe it's the shape of the front...heck at 20k miles I'm ready to get the bumper painted. I am thinking about the bra, too...just have to keep it dry underneath...then again it will hide the small dent on the front of my hood, the hood chips, and the 2 holes where I removed the front plate, so I might as well leave the bra on forever!

I have the Nissan Bra and haven't have any problems. Yeah, I take it off every time it rains which is a pain but I know it's saving my paint. I know it's not harming it because I've had it on two years and don't see any damage. I don't have any chips yet.

i had mine on for a year and had it off for maybe a day if that. all i would do was wax under it whenever i washed my car, which was everyday in the summer. i had it on all winter and waxed under it here and there and my paint never faded or anything. its all in how you take care of it...

I installed the 3M clear bra from myself. I got it at http://invinca-shield.com. I got the deluxe kit which includes the bumper piece for like $230.
The hood and side pieces were easy but the bumper was a pain in the A$$. If you have some experience tinting windows it makes the install a little easier. I've had it on for about 3 months and it works great.

Check out page 3 of my homepage for some pics.

I bought my bra when I got my car, was pretty good about putting it on and taking it off when I had to, then something happened, it became a pain in the A$$ to repeat this process over one thousand times a year or more, now I have the paint chips all over the front, I am a proud 5th Gen owner with paint chips to go. My Civic NEVER chipped like this and I had it for 5 years. My car is not even one year old yet, but yet the front looks like it is 5 years old. Pathetic quality, period.

My friend had a bra that he used on his max for a while. Then he removed it one day. And you can definitely see the discoloration in the paint. Not even a nice wax job will fix it. So IMO only use it for like long road trips so you don't get any paint chips. But take if off after that..

I've had no problem with mine. It's a drag initially to take it on and off whenever there's rain. Make sure you take it off when there's rain b/c the vinyl will wrinkle up and distort the original shape of the bra. It takes me less than 3 minutes now to put it on. After a while, you're used to it b/c you know what will happen if you leave it off--> more paint chips. I think it also makes the max a little more aggressive with the bra on too.
