I noticed on Custommaxima.com has the JET chip and was wondering if anybody has considered this chip or if anybody has tried it.

You know, this has been discussed before and people have generally dismissed the JET chip as being worthless. I bought one for my Ford Exploder and was quite pleased with it. But from what everyone's said on the org, it's not worth the $$ for the Max.

Not worth it OK if you buy a y-pipe for $250 and get 10-15HP off it and with the chip for 350 you get 15HP hows that not worth it.

 

I dont think so 15HP with JET because some guys that they have the JET chip said "no difference and SES light came on" and if im right some guys has a dyno that it shows extra 5-6hp only... I tell you this... you can right whatever you want but dont believe anything... for example on the warpspeed site says "y-pipe with our b-pipe 20HP extra" but this is a bull***t... I think the best chip for maximas is from Jim Wolf Tech but they dont have chips for 5 gen maximas... trust the dyno buddy!!!

 

I don't the price would justify the gains, if there any....

 

Don't waste your time with products like this. Your car is properly tuned from the factory.
