Should be a pretty good race, but I give you the edge.

Better driver will win. Both are 14-capable, although it'll take more driver skill to get the RSX-S running the same as your Max due to the powerband of the RSX. So I think you have an advantage, but he will be very strong in the last 1/8th mile, so your launch and first 1/8th mile will be critical.

i saw a rsx type s run for the first time last night. the car looked smooth, it had intake and full exhaust !

the car was running anywhere from 15.1-15.6

i wanted a piece of the guy - would have took him down ! lol

o back to the rsx type s ...dont be snoozing or you may take a brusing

It'll be a close race. I have a frined with a type s that runs 14.5 with just intake and exhaust. Of course I 'mleaning towards the Max though!

The only way to get a high-14 run on a stock RSX-S is to keep the revs above 6k on launch. Otherwise it will bog and you are in the 15's. You also have to manage the wheelspin just enough so that you launch reasonably well and don't do a burnout, and don't hookup too soon and yet again bog. It's very difficult. Ditto the above for pretty much any Honda with their high-end biased powerbands.

I haven't been to club-rsx.com in awhile, but the last time I checked most of the stock times were mid-15's with 2.4xx 60's. Only a few have been able to crack 14's stock with the high-end clutch dump/slip launches with 2.3xx or maybe a few high 2.2xx 60's.

Rudy's motto: If it costs more than 20 bucks and doesn't make my car perform better.....it is a waste of money.
