Solobaric L7 with a Rockford 700s???What do u think?

I have a L7 Kicker 12" Sub and im deciding on a 700s the older model of Rockford amps. The L7 12" RMS is 750, and the Rockford Amp RMS is 700...Would that work? Or will i damage my sub? How does it work out when deciding how much power is enough or too much for a sub? And where does the ohm's come in? What if the sub is either 4 ohm or 2 ohm? what does that do for me? Thanks for all the input im clueless...one

that RF amp will put out more than 700 watts. it would like like 730 - 750 (perhaps more) in true wattages. my RF amp pushed out 45 more watts than listed. it should tell you on the amp's birth certificate

I heard the same thing about rockford...But when it comes down to haveing the right amount of power...how much watts should i consider for a solobaric L7 that runs 750 RMS? Should it be as close to 750 as possible? What if i run too little or too much power ?(watts)?

the RF amps are tested most of the time with 14votls or more. check your sheet.

Thats cool, but if my sub is 750 RMS would that 700s running around 830 be too much for my sub? or could it work? Or should i run less power to one 12" L7?

You want an amp that can push more than needed. The gain on your amp shouldn't be turned all the way up, this can cause clipping and can damage your sub. That amp should work fine, but I would not advise running the amp at full power, instead set the gain a little higher than 3/4. With an L7 that should be loud enough to make you go deaf anyways, so enjoy your hearing while it lasts.

is that amp rated at 700 peak ? most amps say they do 700w. but really only do the peak w when bridged @ 1 ohm. L7s can do 750rms, means they can handle about 11-1200 w peak. i hear L7s love power. enjoy your thump, your **** is gonna bump!

From what I've always been told, RF amps are rated at continuos power. Like posted above, I would run that amp at about 3/4 on the gain. And just cheeze.
