I have a 95 SE and am in the process of replacing my worn-out SE suspension with all new OEM parts from Courtesy. I am also going to replace the tires on the factory rims. I am considering the Michelin XGT-H4s, Potenzas, or Dunlops. What do all recommend for my car. thanks

new tires

If you are still shopping...I have an 01 SE that came stock with Bridgestone Potenza RE92's. I lived with them for 2 months and had Nissan replace with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4. I considered the other Pilot that would fit and decided the HX would produce better ride quality. The improvement was immediate and 100%! If you want a decent ride and great handling, you won't be dissapointed with any Michelin product spec'd to fit your rim. Stay away from Bridgestone.

I also run Yokohama AV..something on my 93 SE and they deliver excellent handling and ride quality.

I think I am going to go with the Michelins

I like Michelins and will probably go back with those. Thanks for your input, I was leaning towards the Potenzas, I looked at some tires matter of fact today.

I've posted several threads inquiring other forum participants about the Bridgestones shortly after I got the car and was wondering whether or not the feeling I was getting was "normal". You could check the links I created and find them and read the feedback. NONE of it was overwhelmingly positive of the "Protendas" as someone joked. And you should know that my dealer checked balance and road force variance as did an independent. I never got past the feeling that the tires were out of balance...very jittery ride that was not becoming of a $31k car!

And, a friend of mine put Potenzas on his Civic without talking to me and was complaining about his tires to me before I even mentioned it.

I've run Michelins on 3 cars now, our former 929S and our current LS 400 (use the Energy +), and now my 01 SE w/ 17" rims. In my opinion, Michelin is absolutely the best tire you can get. The yok's on my 93 are good, too. But they didn't have an application that me specs for my 01. Good luck, and I hope I saved you some pain! srm
