Braided cable bolted to chassis on 2K ?HELP

I never noticed b4 but I have a small piece of braided cable bolted to the chassis under my car. It's favors the driver side but is kinda in the middle.
Does anyone know what this is or was ? I think it may have been connected to something at one point but know it's just a 6 inch piece hanging under my car.

Thanks, Ecko

i think you are referring to the ground strap for the cat. it runs underneath the black brace between the flex section of the y pipe and the cat. some have said theirs were ripped off by debris on the road but i dont think its a major issue if its broken.
