I think there cool looking on the headlights and all but not digging the fact there not full circles. I can understand our high beam cause that goes to the top of the housing but not the HID one. All and all I like them just not going to take apart my headlights to do it.

umnitza, Whats the difference between the DDE Gen V that you made for us 02-03 owners and the DDE Lightning™ Plus??? No light box??? How do you get the rings to light up??? Why are the DDE Lightning™ Plus
cheaper than the DDE Gen V that you made for us 02-03 owners???

Ok, some answers - one, I goofed on the price BIG time, sorry to lead you guys astray.

The price is $169. The problem with posting so late is that the fingers do more work than the brain.

After re-running the numbers. There is no way we will keep the $129 price point. It's simply too low.

There are a lot of differences, most of them listed in the positives and negatives.

The key is that Gen V is proven to work over many different terrains, can change colors, is easy to install, and doesn't break.

This technology is more inexpensive but not necessarily brighter in the classic definition of it (lumens) but to the eye, blue light scatters more, so it appears brighter.

Why is this cheaper, because there is NO WARRANTY on this stuff. Gen V has a lifetime.

You break it, tough bananas

What we haven't figured out yet is this:

Gen V allows the fit of the ring to be friction fit into the reflector, but these rings have no flex. So, it's likely to be a glue only solution. YUCK.

ANy other questions should be answered in the FAQ that we are completing.

if you'd have installed it

Gen V using mounting pegs. They friction fit into the light and go nowhere forever.

However, we'll see if we can do a different system for these.
