If you sit and do that math big daddy, it aint that bad. To get your own wheels chromed in a true 6step process it will run about 125-150 a wheel. Not to mention the shipping there and back. And the wait of getting them done.

This is just a easier way of getting the wheels and not waiting. I dont see this as being anywhere near a rediculous price. Seems very resonable to me.
