How easy do they fit/replace the existing running light and switch

I think those right there are the ones I need.. Anyone know if they would fit without the gap like the custommaxima/ebay ones on a 2k2?

 

no way to tell besides the 4". custommaxima at least gives detailed measurements.

 

The Hella fogs will fit pretty easily in the 5th gen bumper. All you have to do is drill 2 holes into the bumper right behind each foglight. And yes there is a gap around the lights since they are only 4 inches in diameter.

The lights on custommaxima.com are not the hella's. The hella's are only 1 color, like a whitish blue. If you end up getting the hella's, make sure you put a bead of silicone around the area where the led goes into the housing. If not water will leak in and burn out the led.

is the gap on the 00-01 the same as the 02-03. I have heard that the space in the bumper for the fog lamps differs between the VQ30 and the VQ35

there is even a test button so you can see how the angel eyes look..pretty neat

 

i got mine from pepboys... for 49.99 ....if pepboys dont have it... check out ebay....
i would recommend u to buy it at and auto store.. cause if anything goes wrong ...u can return it easily...

and Fkcuk custommaxima and their gay angel eyes....
they are small and they look ugly

 

Anyone know the quality/light output compared to the 7-color fogs on Custommaxima??????? I would imagine Hella would put out a better product, but 7 colors is pretty trick. All I see is poeple selling them.......I wonder why????????

Yes, they come with bulbs...the regular 55W H3 bulbs. I'm sure you can upgrade to a much better H3 bulb. I wonder, though, if you can replace the LED around the ring? Hmmmm....

 

Yes its possible to replace the led's. I burnt out one of the led's and took them out of the housing to see what they looked like. The led's just plug into a piece of rubber, so any led would work just fine.

As for the quality of them. The housing and lense are really good (no cracks yet). The bulb it comes with is just a regular 55watt h3, which i changed to a PIAA h3 extreme white.
