Getting a factory CD ERROR F3? What is that?

For some reason it seems like my factory CD player is acting like it has a CD in it and will not accept a CD when i am trying to put another one in it.

Is there a way to reset the CD player? I have the non Bose CD player. Its flashing a F3 error code and the manual has nothing about CD error codes. Please can anybosy help with this situation, i need my tunes.

Thanks
Fellow enthusiast

i had the same thing happen, nissan will replace it under warranty. they said I already have a CD in there and tried to put another one that's what cause the problem. WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT TRUE. anyways, they will replace it under warranty, but those service writers @ nissan fxxxing sucks

Thanks, but unfortuantely i just went over my milage...

..which my warranty would have covered me under. I did call Nissan and they said they contract all of there radio problems out to an outside contractor. I called this company and he told me that he can fix it anywhere in the price range of 135-195 dollars. I am still debating if not to just upgrade to aftermarket, since you can get a really good deck(s) for under 200 bucks...

Might want to be sure of that. If its a BOSE system, I believe there is tons of crap you have to replace to make sure it all works together. I "hope" they made changes from 01.
