Help: spark plug knock

It turns out I have spark nock, which i have been told is due to a lean mixture. guys at nissan told me this, and that its probably due to the intake (injen). Does anyone know the best way to fix this? I was thinking either an AFC or a new Chip. Or any other suggestions, i will more than consider.

also, which afc?? apex or jet (which is plug in)

help

its very hard for me to believe an intake is causing your car to lean out. you dont need an apexi afc to control just for an intake and there are no computer upgrades that have proven to worth anything for our generation of maxes. i have heard many 2k2 and 2k3 owners complain of light knocking and they were told that it was normal. i wont get in that debate but it seems to be a typical thing. i am assuming that you also use the highest octane available to you either 93 or 91. how many miles do you have on it?

It's not the intake...it can't possibly flow that much more air...not if the rest of the car is still stock.

A)Bad coils.
or
B)Dying MAF.
plus
C)FIND ANOTHER DEALER, because if they think the INJEN is causing it, they are .

Just to make sure, put the stock airbox back in to see if the problem goes away AND definitely remove the Injen BEFORE you take it to the dealer.

Put back the stock intake for service/warranty or it will bite you no matter how "cool" or what they say now.
