Check out my new mods

This weekend i had a chance to get a few mods done.

Painted the turn signal half-circle of my taillights red and put in red bulbs. The pics dont really do them justice. In direct sunlight the color looks like a perfect match.

Painted reservoir caps, oil dipstick, plastic battery positive cover, and stickers in the engine bay all matching red.

Let me know what you think

Krylon red paint for the caps.. I forget if there were other specifics but it said it bonded to plastic.

Looslip, thanks for your help with the lenses. I got the Testors transparent candy apple red and it worked fine. The only thing is... I only put on one coat on each side... they look too dark already, i dont want to add more coats and make them even darker.

It looks totally awesome when its signaling in broad daylight. Soo good infact that I ordered Red silvervisions for my rear lights. Beats the white "pull me over" bulbs I have now. Any one have any tips on how to paint the outline of the bottom half circle of the signal? Theres a slight white border that is pretty ugly , even though its pretty hard to see.

hehe you're the second person to ask me about that. My sig is photoshopped... Here's the non-photoshopped version:

They're KOBA xenon bulbs. They look better in real life. Very white with a slight hint of blue. Plus they're only $10 on ebay
