What can I do about the muffler noise?

I posted a while ago that I picked up a Vibrant straight-through universal muffler .and when coupled to my stock B pipe and Budget Y-pipe the drone really annoyed me at 2500rpm and above and so I took it off. Is there a way to salvage the situation? Perhaps add a second resonator if there is room?

A lot of places that sell/make exhausts sell silencers. They are small caps that go in your exhaust to 'silence' the flow. Or else, you can just replave your 'high performance' muffler and put the stock one back on which will quite things down immensley. As a matter of a fact, all that noise is only gining you 1-3 hp max.

I emailed Vibrant and unfortunately they don't produce a cap for the model I bought.
Yeah, I slapped the stock one back on but it lacks the "I mean business" look that the Vibrant has.
