Hey fellow 5th Gen here wondering how you guys with the Illumina's like the setup. Reason why I ask is the 5th Gen Ill's are coming out.

They are worth evey penny. They blow the AGX's away in ride quality.

NJ Max....3 questions....

1) Would you assume there would be a big improvement in ride and handling over stock struts if I planned to keep the stock springs? I'm assuming if you are using Illuminas on lowered springs in NJ and say the ride is great - then it HAS to be great!
2) Can you adjust both the compression and rebound with the Illuminas?
3) Where did you get yours?

I've got the Illuminas, and I absolutely love them. They are paired with Progress springs and the ride is excellent... only a hair firmer than stock when set on 3/4, and the handling is greatly improved. I got mine from Southwest Autoworks.

goldmax... If you're going to replace the struts you might as well get yourself a set of H&R or Progress springs. You will lose the 4x4 look, gain some handling and maintain a great ride quality.

Thanks for the feedback. If you guys in NJ say it's a great ride - I believe it...I've driven your roads!

Would it be worthwhile to go with the JIC FLTA2s over the Illumina/Ground Control combo?
