Big congrats to Ossamah, Ist time out w/ a big win. Anyone know Sterling and Bao? are they on the org? Which cars were they?
I think sterling was that black car w/ the black & silver rims that had a custom stitched interior????
HIN judges are getting worse now too. Supposedly they have professional judges, but it's just like NOPI now. Gaudy chrome wheels, extensive but unclean bodywork and so on is winning shows these days at HIN. I'm seeing more and more primered cars at HIN.
Maybe I'm just jaded because I do so many car shows as a part of my job, but it's really totally arbitrary who wins and loses. All that matters at a show is that ONE person likes your car. If that one person gives you enough points, then you win. Doesn't matter if 1000 people come up and tell you your car is great, if the one random judge assigned to your car doesn't like it enough, no trophy. That's why so many nice cars take home no trophies.
It's better to go with the opinion of the showgoers, at least that way you get more than just one opinion.

Jeff - You are def more experienced than me in this case so I guess you might be right but remember when there are more than one ppl opinions differ. This is my first ever time at a car show and I thought the judge seemed decent. Its the same how it is in a class room, if a teacher thinks your paper is not good then its not good doesnt matter how good you think it is ;-)
Trophies dont matter to me as long as I like how my car looks but sometimes its good to have atleast one in the garage ;-) BTW I tried finding your booth but couldnt find it :-( The closest I got to it was when I saw your gf's acura. The glove box looked slick with SAFC and stuff in it.

we all will continue to have different opinions about everything, who's car should win or lose....in the end the winners are still the winners and the losers are still the losers...but only in standings in trophies as long as you like your car no matter what others think this is what counts.......

well when car shows become a competitive sport you let me know. if you want to compare the best of the best and being competitive then feel free to register for the top class. conservative is pop warner football in this case...
not yet...haven't had time to look at it yet

my car is not good enough....
if you ever win you mighty feel differently or not....either way mine or yours it's another opinion....
This is why next year when NOPI comes around, if my car goes, it will be in Luxury wild. Lots of Maximas these days, and they really should have a wild category for the level some of them are at.

jeff...can't wait to see your car next year. i was looking for it this year. if jason, you, rich (volkracingmax), paul etc etc made it down it would have been totally different. Just about all of the maximas were in mild this year and if the ones i mentioned would have shown up then there should really be a wild category. there were a minimal amount in conservative that had minimal amounts of work done...

<BIJAN...LOL I still had lots of fun...
Awsome job keep it up.
