Greddy Catback Exhaust Maxima 1997
Greddy Catback Exhaust Maxima 1997
A am wondering if anyone installed the Greddy catback system in a 1997 Maxima.
My question is there is a B-pipe extension in back of the rear cat (it is a six inch pipe with the oxygen sensor on the side). Does the cat back attach to this pipe or does it connect directly to the catalytic converter. If it connects directly to the cat then does the Greddy system have an oxygen sensor hole in it? Thanks alot.

Just got my Greddy Catback for my 1997 Maxima. It looks like I got the new version. The front muffler is long and skinny. All of the pipes have a greyish coating. The rear muffler is chrome, and the tailpipe extension comming out of it is very large (too large in my opinion). Need to get the y-pipe before I put it in. I got it from southwestautoworks.com. $500 plus $59 shipping. It comes in a really big box so the shipping is probably justified. If you order from them call to see if they have it first. They charged me immediately and they did not have it for several weeks.
Man, that exhaust is the heat. I got it from Southwestautoworks, along with the stillen Y-pipe and the racing straight pipe at Customaxima, the exhaust sounds very good, No rice comes with this setup. Just pure power and nice deep growl. Close to a V8, just not loud. The only time I have noticed a drone is when I cruise at 55-65 MPH. Other than that..it sounds excellent
If it does have SS piping, then that is great! TO pay over $400 for aluminized steel piping is a travesty. Are you all sure it's SS? I am wondering why they would need to coat the pipes grey...
