Tokico Blues + Sprint = blown struts

Well, after about 10,000 miles and a year of enjoyment, all four of my tokico blues have blown and $340 are down the drain.. wish i had listened to everyone on the org. before i bought them. Now its time to save up and see if i can get some KYBs.... any one know of a cheap place to pick some up?

don't feel bad, the tokico blue lasted me 8 months and most of the driving was on the highway.

i got the agx installed and sent all the tokico shocks back for warranty. when i got the new tokico's back i sold them for less than what i paid for them.

Tokicos are good shocks, they just aren't valved correctly for mad drops, anything in excess of 1.5" is too much for them. I ran my Tokicos for over 30k on H&Rs, so problems....

i called tokico (i think they where in cali) and told them my shocks went bad in 8 months. i sent them all 4 shocks with a recipt (withuot installation). it took me almost 3 weeks to get the new shocks back.

i have apex springs that have a 1.6" drop. i alway say the the max is not made to handle drops of more than 1.4"

it's all about that 4x4 look, if it wasn't about that i would install a set of H&R springs.

Yeah, you should be ok with KYBs, I wouldn't go much lower than 2.5" though, you won't have any suspension travel.

Any spring that drops you more then 1.5 inches will most likely void any shock/strut warranty. ***caugh*** SPRINT ***caugh***

how long have you had your Kybs on with your sprints? and have you seen any fuid leakage? cus my ride was sweet when i first put them on. then the ride just got harder and harder, and now when i hit highway bridges the car jumps every where.
