FULL 95 to 97 conversion almost complete (99%)

I finally got the car started the other morning. I had to rewire one of the plugs in the engine bay (Thanx Nismos), even after swapping the entire wiring harness, there was that one that still didn't fit where it was supposed to. The car started up nicely...was running rought for a bit, I thought that might be related to it not starting for the past month or maybe one of the spark plugs got fouled up? What are your thoughts? I am now waiting for the clutch master cylinder (ordered a new one) and then once the clutch is bleed, I should be driving down the street...everything else is fine...I'll need to hook up the canister as I removed the entire assmbly from the 97. Thanks for all your encouragement and current emails...its been quite an adventure. I'll keep you updated as things go/progress more and more...already planning my first couple of mods...some are re-installations and such.

keep in mind this conversion includes...COMPLETE engine and tranny swap...entire wiring harness...front and rear bumpers/lights...gauges...basically the car went from a 95 GXE to an 97 SE (without the sunroof)

First mod: REDLINEMAX sticker
Second Mod: Strut Bar
Third Mod: Another oil change and tranny flush
Fourth Mod: Put my stereo back in

more to come...

Hey Mecca,

Since, I had the 97 (accident) I bought the 95 that needed an engine and thought "hey why not do the swap?" then it just grew from there...overall...I'd say about $4000 in parts and labor...most of it mine...so roughly about $3000....its been fun and definately a learning experience..I have the steering wheel, I'm still looking for an airbag for it....I didn't keep the center console for it was a different color (tan) new interior is black/gray...but I like the 95 one fine! Steering wheel will be going on as soon as I get a chance...probably even before I get an airbag...I'll just fabricate/fix the current airbag cover/holder maybe carbon fiber

who knows.....? I'll surprise ya all!

the steering wheel is coming...chump :P...but seriously...after you and I chatted...I've decided that it'll go on.

Turbo95max...dunno how much the steering cost...saw one on ebay go for about $40...then saw someone here trying to sell one for $140...depends on the season I guess. I just pulled mine from my 97 wreck.
