New to the maxima community
I just purchased a 94 Nissan Maxima not sure if it is a Se,GLE, or GXE. I couldn't pass down this car. I needed a new one because I am forced to sell my 90 300zx because I don't have the money to take care of her anymore. Somebody decided to throw a piece of sidewalk through my rear hatch, messed up the body alittle. My Z is running fine, just needs suspension work Im gettin rid of it for 2,500. So I figured can't maintain the Z anymore so why not get the next best thing. And so far so good I really like the Maxima alot. Nissan just simply makes bad *** cars. Anyways I have a quick question not sure if anyone can help, but here it goes. This car has 120,000 miles on it and just recently before I bought it had the clutch changed out. Now my question is that when I disingage the clutch out of first gear and into first and second gear the car makes a wierd winding like noise that I'm not familar with. Is this a normal noise or is there a problem. The noise goes away after a certain Rpm in 2nd gear. Not sure if the resurfaced the flywheel or not, I just found a reciept for the clutch job and it has a 90 day warantee so I'll check that out. Just wanted some second oppinions from people that know a little about this car. Sorry if my description of the noise isn't quite good enough it is hard to explain the noise. Like a kazoo and a whistle kind of noise, just curious of what it is. Thanx for any replies....
