Question about wheels and timeslip

Hello,

First take a look at my numbers:
R/T .755
60 2.557
330 6.958
1/8 10.595
MPH 67.28
1000 13.736
1/4 16.370
MPH 85.67

Ok so this is my best run so far. I want to know what you guys think I would run without the wheels. My wheels weigh about 45 lbs each, chrome 18's. My car is a 95 5spd with intake. I know I can feel a big difference with the wheels and without the wheels.

Thanks,
Mike

lighter wheels definatly make a difference. dont remember who, but someone calculated the "hp increase" by going to lighter wheels. Also, smaller wheels change your effective gear ratio, which could help 1/4 time, depending what part of 3rd or 4th gear you end up in. Also make for the rotational mass being closer to the center, decreasing the force it takes to rotate the wheel

hafta be perfect driving to be low 15's.... thats over a full second off the current time! drop 3 tenths off the 60', might cut .5 off the 1/4, maybe a tad more. probly 15.5 would be about the best it looks without any mods (and with wheels of course)

Hmm I would say it may help like drop a tenth off your time but nothing drastically, although I could be wrong. Your 60 ft isnt all that great either, just practice more and you will have better times for sure. I actually pulled a 2.5 60ft with my 6th gen but managed to beat an LT1 conv. at the track and ended up running a 15.1@94. But I must say that was some wicked wheelspin on that run!!

knock sensor...

dude, I've been telling you for ages...you probably have a bad knock sensor. wheels alone will not account for a 6mph difference in trap speed...

let me know when you're free and I'll pull your codes for you...or check the instructions on the org. I sense low 15s in your future...
