I like the Weapon R Intake, It screams when you push the max. I have been asked by many people what kind of exhaust I have on the car and when I tell them I don't, just the Weapon R Intake they really can't believe it. But with normal everyday driving it sounds completly stock which I like alot but when I push it, WOW it Growls!!!!

why ya sellin it? MAF problems? thats the main reason I havent bought one - figured the GAB setup is pretty much safe for the MAF, and it gets similar results. But I'll downlaod your clips when I get home. Thanks!

Malaka, my Firm Fabrications midpipe with a K&N RR-3003 filter SCREAM.

I had a BERK midpipe before, and it wasn't as loud. The BERK is the same design as the Frankencar. Also, I do not notice a power loss compared to the stock airbox on hot summer days. The BERK intake did produce a slight power loss in low rpms.

The Firm midpipe has a larger diameter, and gets rid of the metal "screen" & MAF housing.

Yes I just confirmed this one more time tonight... the Firm + K&N is the loudest intake combo I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. I floored her a few times on the empty backroads, keeping her in second... WOW! With the windows rolled down, it sounded like a jet was taking off!!! Very high-pitched screaching!

Just bring it!

I have had my Franken since they frist came out. (Feb 02)

I have had no problems with it to this point. I put in the Injen one summer and it was nice, but very noticable power difference from the Franken. As soon as I put the Franken back in even my wife said she could feel the difference.

As for sound, my intake is way louder than even my cat-back exhaust.

Power.... well look at my dyno sheet on my cardomain site. That was with only my intake, I did not have an exhaust at that point. I had at least 3-4 ORG members there that day and other's came in for the dyno day. None of us could believe how it was pulling.

For the small price it is the best mod for the $$$ I think.

Custom long runner intake + Maxx Tuning USA Y-Pipe + 2.5" Mandrel mid pipe w/Magnaflow resonator to HKS rear section. Nice on cruise, but punch it and it scares little children. On nitrous the car is way louder.

Toylet902's exhaust is baddass on boost his car sounds like an airplane; I swear on certain nights thru the Holland Tunnel. Manhattan and NJ can hear his car.

Confused's car w/ 3.0" exhaust and boost going through the Lincoln Tunnel was incredible @ 2:30am.

I have to hijack this thread. Who's car is this and how did he do this. I think this sounds so mean. Even better than my full backback. I would love to drop my catback and have the stock looking backend if I could have this sound....

Anyone know who this is or know how he did this? Gut the miffler?

I have the Frankencar midpipe with the JWT intake. The JWT intake is only an air filter with a velocity stack, that bolts right up to the Frankencar midpipe.

BTW, I also have a Warpspeed B pipe and a CM Straight pipe, to go along with my Powertech muffler. My intake is loud enough that you dont hear the exhaust during WOT !

Nah..its the same size as the Stillen. I was afraid it wouldnt fit because of my Stinger distribution block but it sits fine. Its open ended , unlike the Stillen. That thing truely does suck air..... and it is freakin loud. If you think your Frankencar is loud with Apexi or KN, you should hear this setup !

The mid pipe flow air beter throught the air intake system, if you look at the accordion that comes on the stock airbox, you will see that it creates turbulence. The objective is to acquire smooth airflow.

Thanks for the answer, of course it appears from reading these forums that everyone has their own opinion. People like me who want to buy an intake can figure out which one. Injen, JWT, Frankencar, Weapon, etc. I just dont want problems with my daily driver.

i thought the stillen was loud by itself until i installed my frankencar midpipe on sat. I would guess it is two or three times louder with the midpipe.

On my Butt Dyno, the Apexi with the Frankencar midpipe. I ran a 14.6 with it and have never come colse to that time again. I also blew my MAF a few days after that... There is a theory that the Apexi flows so much air it actually overheats the sensor in the MAF and fries it... Who knows .. Bu that setup gave me my best time in my auto 2k2.
