Guys, the 9004 Phillips Blue Vision wont fit!

I must be stupid, but tonight i went and bought these bulbs for my car. Well i took out my old ones and connected my new ones in my '95 SE but that big round piece will not connect and secure the bulb in place!! Does anyone know whats up with this? When I put my stock one back in, the piece screws in fine. Thanks, ~Steve
