How to achieve higher gas mileage.

Now, just some fyi; last year I drove 63,500 miles. Most of it is due to my job. I got my auto 03 Max in June and have 17k on it. I'm currently getting about 30mpg with conservative driving and about 28mpg with more spirited driving. I don't have any performance mods. Now I know the basics of increasing gas mileage carry less weight, make sure tires properly inflated, etc. My last car I installed a cai and it increased gasmileage by 2-3mpg. Currently I'm looking at the stillen cai and wondering if anyone here knows what the average gain in mpg is and what else I could do to increase my gas mileage. As you realize with the kind of mileage I put on every extra mpg despite the price will eventually pay for itself. btw 90% of my driving is highway 70-80mph.
thanks.

True!... If you want to do better than 30MPG, get a Toyota Prius.

get a b pipe to eliminate the crushed section after the cat. an intake should increase mpg but if you keep wanting to hear the VQ, it will go down quick with an intake. if you have some friends at a dealership then have the timing advanced. if you dont then dont worry about it. you could get lighter rims, less unsprung weight and the car has less to fight to get it up to speed.

Yes, but I like having 250hp instead of 70. It makes my drive much more interesting; plus the toyota isn't the chick magnet my Max is.
