so i installed some eyelids... pics

they look interesting...

they're the ones from redlinemax. Basically, I have glass headlights and the nubs were ****ing me off so i only shaved half of it off. Then, I did a not-so-good paint job on eyelids, but i tried my best and sanded em over and over. They sorta don't match because my bumper/hood is full of chipmarks, and the eyelids are not. I think it'll even itself out after about 1k miles of highway driving lol.

anyways, pics aren't that great because it's dark. Maybe they'll grow on me, but it's been a while since i've done anything to her so i think i like it.

the rest of the pics are here:
http://gallery.p0wned.net/view_album...umName=album13

I will post some daytime pics tomorrow too.

they decrease the drag coefficient of the car... if you dont like them, dont post

nadir, how come the eyelid doesnt go on the corner light as well.... on the pics i saw on the redlinemax site, it went all the way to the end of the corner light.. looks better that way IMO

you know what, there's like a pre-cut line or something in the corner/headlights... if I follow that, I can get an even eyelid using vinyl all the way from the headlight to the corners. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Do they just attach with double sided tape, or what?

I think they look pretty good, but it would look better if they covered the corner lights also. Make sure you post pics after you try your vinyl idea.

I'm ordering a roll of black gloss vinyl... i emailed them and i'm awaiting a response about a couple things. Hopefully i'll get this done by the end of next week and i'll post pics and stuff. Since i've got pretty good experience with the red translucent vinyl that I did on my tails, i'm thinking it's going to be the same procedure for the headlights/corners.

as of now, im not really feeling them, but i think if you finished them up on the corner lights, it could look real nice. but it looks like youre already heading in that direction, so good job.

well, i don't think i'm going to be using those same eyelids... rather just get 1 piece of vinyl to cover both headlights and corners. I know Nismo has already done this and it looks good on his car.

i don't think it looks bad at all. it goes a long with your clean front-end prety good. well... like you said, give it some times and maybe it'll grow on you. if you don't like, take them off. not a big deal...

PS- We installed a set of those eyelids on a red max last week without shaving the headlight ***. It just sits a bit out instead of sitting flush.
