Ceasars Chariot: 14.50 @ 96.54 " Video Inside"

I got out to the track and did'nt know what to expect. This would be my first run at the track with the new Injen Intake and I was anxious to find out if I could do as good or better than the numbers I had put up with the Frankencar setup (14.63 ET). All I really know to do is post up my best times with the Frankencar and my best times with the Injen and see what I can gather from it all.

I went over to Hub City Dragway and came back pretty happy. I will use this thread to post my slip tommorow and a few videos of some runs.

Top 5 1/4 Mile Times

1. 14.50 @ 96.54 mph
2. 14.69 @ 95.81 mph
3. 14.73 @ 95.59 mph
4. 14.80 @ 95.30 mph
5. 14.88 @ 94.89 mph

Best Slip

R/T .531
60' 2.16
1/8 9.33
MPH 75.79

1/4 14.50
MPH 96.54

Hey, I thought the Injen intake felt mighty good. Who knows for certain ? I was everything but consistent tonight. Had (2) 15 second runs also. But tonight I had lots of 2.2's and (2) 2.1 60 foots.

Videos are being transfered my webpage

OH you JERK!!!

MAN!!!!!

YOU got better numbers now!!!

Good job buddy. 2.16 is awesome.
I guess I have to get my a$$ to the track.

I reeeeeeallly want someone to tell me why my car has NEVER hit 95.xxx mph. I think I got a Monday car. When I hit high 94.xxx that usually means a low 14.6xx

it seems to me that the Injen has a better low end than the Mid pipe. The times look very consistent to be just pure luck. Yes driving skill do play a big role here but it seems that the Injen helped him achieve that 2.16.
Good job man. I hope I can be as fast as you one of these days

well it has to be one or the other, but im staying with injen .. ! the times were close but maybe the injen was responsible for boosting me in the 60 foot and then tossing me down the 1/4 mile at 96.54 mph. In my fifth run I brought in a 14.8 but i also missed third and still managed a high 14 and my 60 foot was 2.1 .. Bottom Line im just happy !

Next MOD : ECU Upgrade !!

what is up with the civic si ? the car has to have mods right ?

well this is what i have been doing on the launch.

1.drive thru the water box ( i know asking for trouble)
2. spin them until i start chirping
3. launching at 2900-3100 rpms

im going to start paying more attention to the rpm level and just stick it somewhere like lets say 3000 and see if thats whats working best.

very impressive times. How much stuff you take out of the car?? I saw in previous posts you took out the back seats and stuff - did you do that for these runs too?? Great times - makes me want to hit up the track again!!

yeap, ive mad it a habit to take the back seat out, i would consider the passenger seat, but I have a passenger ! lol ! again the back seat is left at home, and the metal plate too. thats 36 pounds I dont need.

i know its a poor mans mod !

of course this is a no brainer but the maxima loves less weight ..

I am thinking he had more than just I/H/E....they run like very high 15s stock I think.

lol, I think it was just the camera angle. The Civic was trapping at 92 and Ceasar was at 95. I don't think the Civic was pulling unless he let off at the end. But yeah, high-14's is a lot better than stock for that car. They run mid/high-15's in the high-80 range I think stock.

Nice runs Ceasar!

Hey I just put up a 3 race dual with this car ! What happened was on the first run I missed 3rd in a close race... and i thought ..no way am i going out like that...yes the cars are close but i know i can beat him. so i pulled up to him and asked if he would like to run again ..he said you are on .. I know nothing about the car besides he was using slicks .. again, that first run was exciting ...

FYI there was no 01 Civic Si. The previous bodystyle was a coupe and was 99-00. 01 it was gone, and then it came back for 02 I think with this new Euro hatch shape thingy.

Downloading video now.
