2002 Springs

I recently bought 18s for a good price but put them on and it looks like a jacked up 4x4. I am going to buy springs but need to know which ones are good. I found Maxspeeds for cheap.Vogtland for cheap but also know I should look at Eibach and H&R springs. The rims are 18x7.5" w/ 235/40/ZR18 Nitto 555 tires. What should I go with?

Thanks.

That all depends on how aggressive you want your drop to be. If you want aggressive go with Teins, If you want something that is not going to slam the car but still give it a descent drop go with the Eibach's.

I don't want it to be slammed so I bottom out all the time but I don't want it to look like my Jeep LOL. I also don't plan on going all out on the suspension so I plan on using the stock shocks for now. Ride is also important since I do a lot of driving. H&Rs have a slightly lower stance so I was going to go with them. Could someone compare the H & Rs to the Eibach's.

Thanks.

In that case, I would go with Maxspeeds. Well, I did go with maxspeeds. Check out my homepage for pictures of the drop.

H&R are 200% better then stock springs and I am running them with stock struts. One problem with H&Rs are that they aren't lowered enuff. My car still looks like a Jeep imo.

Ok so just from what I have seen and heard I am going with either the H&Rs or Maxspeed. Maxspeeds are about $110 less than the H&Rs so I am not sure if the quality is that much better on the H&Rs. I also saw Nismo's for cheaper than the Maxspeeds. Any comments before I buy something? Thanks for everyones help.

I have riddent in both the H&Rs and the Maxspeeds and there is not a $110 difference in the 2 IMO. Be leary of Nismo springs for a Maxima. I don't think Nismo makes Maxima parts for the US right now. I could be wrong though.

So if money isn't the issue and its ride quality which would you go with? Where should I look for the cheapest prices for either or? Nismos are forgotten. Thanks.

Go with H&R's - I've heard they have the softer ride compared to other springs- I'm going w/them
soon on stock struts once I have my bodykit installed

If money is not an issue, buy struts at the same time. It is a noticable difference. I am totally satisfied with my maxspeeds. H&Rs are great springs as well.

Money is always an issue but I want something I will be happy with. I bought the Maxspeeds tonight. Can I put these in myself? If so is there anything I need or should know.

Too late, my friend. 2 people are selling Maxspeed springs in the F/S forum. It's pretty cheap too.

Go with maxspeeds and install struts at the same time. You're looking at about $450 for Maxspeeds and KYB GR-2s. Maxspeeds give a great drop that isn't too low or too rough. The Eibach springs are stiffer and give the same drop, but cost over $100 more. Tiens are great springs, but I've scraped w/ my Maxspeeds so I don't want to go any lower. Check out my homepage for pics.

Go with Maxspeeds for 1/2 the price of H&R. They have almost the same exact drop and ride quality. Tons of people on here have or had Maxspeeds, and loved them. Comes with lifetime warranty too.
