What's the Advantage of Frankencar over Stillen Pop Charger??

SO tell me, neither are cold/warm air intakes. so whats the advantage of Frankencar (sP?) over the Stillen Pop Charger?? And why does it cost sooo much money for a steel pipe with a filter ...

And whats the deal with Frankencar and Busting MAF?? is it true?

You get a midpipe with Frankencar. That's really the only significant difference.

The JWT uses a larger cone shaped K&N filter(at least used too) along with an aluminum velocity stack that gives a venturi effect to the incoming air.

Go with the JWT and add a frankencar midpipe.

Alex that Midpipe looks like the one Place Racing has.. You sure Steve is not trying to play a dirty trick? getting Place Racing pipes and cutting the smaller tube and putting Frankencar Logo on it

I read somewhere from Kloogy where he said that the JWT filter was definitly louder than the K&N filter, but might have caused him to blown his MAF sensor since it is so much bigger allowing more air flow. I personally have the Frankencar w/ a K&N and have not blown my MAF. I love the intake and the price isn't that bad for the gain, look, and sound you get when you punch it. Isn't the Injen something like $250?

NOT the same as far as fit/finish...trust me, I have/had all of them.

I had a JWT POP, then traded to a Stillen POP. Then bought a Frankencar midpipe and last bought a Cattman CAI(PR actually). Currently, I'm running the stock airbox. Anyways, one of these days I'll get off my lazy HICAS and install the CAI. I then plan to run the CAI during the summer and the POP with midpipe(whichever fits best: PR or FC) during the winter. Best of both IMO.

Definitely do NOT follow in my footsteps.

I have the Stillen Intake With the Frankencar midpipe. Sounds great and pulls good. Need to remove my scoop though for better performance.***

BEFORE ANYONE ASKS I HAVE A 2002 6speed

i had the stillen intake (bent the2k1 bracket to fit the 2k2 nothin to it.....dynod withh everything stocvk xcept intake....... added RT high flow and HKS rea section w/frankencar and the gains are as follows.....the hp gains were VERY notciable stillen gave me a peak hp 209.5 peak tq 222.3 (all stock except the intake) torque curve is rigid as hell and falls way down after 5k....... frankencar +hks rear section and RT high flow: peak hp = 230.8 (every pull hit 230.Xfwhp) peak tq = 234.0 (tq never less than 231.3 on all 3 pulls) after i got bored with the car once again it was time for a 2.5" b-pipe..... went to the dyno again peak hp = 228.5 peak tq = 236.5 didnt expect the addition of the b-pipe tp drop my peak hp but what do i know.... gain a few ft/lbs lost a few ponies.... the dynos were all done on the same machine (tween a period of 6 months)... Balanced Performance MotorSports in sugar hill, ga.

*i know this isnt a fair comparison* just thought u guys woud like to see how my car responded to various mods...... compare stillen stock to franken stock http://www.frankencar.com/intakes/projects/02max/ looks to me like frankencar has almost 4-5 ponies on stillen.... i imagine from the mid pipe replacement but for the money franken car is def worth it more power, less money. proof is right there!

will

The advantage is the midpipe that adds a few more ponies and that's about it. The Frankencar is the best price/performance intake available for our cars. The Injen is the nicest looking.

Your not compairing apples to apples here.

You can't compair intake & exhaust vs just an intake setup.

Straight up. You can't tell me that pop charger/Frankencar makes the same amount of power as Injen or Place Racing.

I think A Nissan replacement filter and K&N Drop in filter make the same power too right
