Tried buying the oil fitting I need online....after filling everything out, it tells me that it can't process.

So then I call them according to the number on their site - get a Fax machine....

So then I call their Fax number, thinking maybe the numbers are switched....busy signal (tried several times in the last hour)

So then I click on their link to send them E-Mail - "Page cannot be displayed".

Man - Vortech's website sucks!!!

So does anyone have any phone numbers/E-mail addys I can use to order this stupid fitting!?


Crud - just tried to get to their site again to copy and paste what numbers I tried - now it's completely down...

Nono - I got a Fax at 0226 - at 0669 I got a busy signal after 0226 gave me the fax.

 

Somehow I got through and ordered the 3.125". Maybe their phone numbers are reversed.

nevermind - i called again this afternoon and all numbers were working completely.

When asking them about blower housings leaking air - they told me that my low boost was caused by my stock exhaust.

When telling them i had a full exhaust, and I could see bubbles when using the soap and water method on the housing, they told me it was the exhaust.

And after correcting them again, they said that my low boost was caused by having stock internals in my engine.

Man - for guys that know alot about SC's, they don't know much.

Finally I just gave up and ordered a new oil filter fitting and hung up.

I guess I'll call back next week and send it in for a rebuild.

 

I just happened to browse through an old copy of SportCompactCar and they suggested that all hoses should be wrench torqued and not screwdriver torqued to prevent leaks. This is due to the tremendous pressure built up in the collection tube. I'll do the soap and water bottle thing first to locate the leaks.

 

Yeah - I always use a 8mm socket to tighten my clamps down.

Do you have a leak somewhere, BlackCat?

 

Well I saw about 8 lbs ~ 8.5 lbs boost yesterday but I'm sure there must be a leak somewhere because I only screwdriver torqued the clamps.
