shoulda stuck a big potted tree in the engine bay.. "see how long it's been without my engine!!!

Actually saw an ad in the paper a few years back that had a REAL 289 Cobra chassis with a tree grown through the engine bay. they'd pulled the engine to rebuild after blowing it, and the owner passed away. the wife just left the car in the back yard until she died, and the son inherited the whole thing. now they can't get the car out without ruining it- even if they do cut down the tree!

That has to suck real bad.

You guys actually make an engine swap look like a lot of fun. With all the coke and soda debris everywhere, I imagine you had no trouble staying awake for this one.

To tell you the truth.. i do not notice any difference between this engine and when my engine was working right... the intake manifold is different, its missing that piece that connects to the exaust maniforld, but i switched all that back over anyways, because i do not know whterh that effects smog and i want to pass in teh futue anyways..

but it looks, sounds and acts exactly the same, and runs really well!

yea we had some fun, this was both of our first time doing an engine swap, and so we just took our time and made the best of it, and it worked out great! ha

engine swaps are fun! i'd do it all day if i could get paid to do it..but only on nissans (300zx, 240sx and VE max specifically). i had so much fun doing mine..but pulling the tranny today is probably going to be a different story at least as my experiance with tranny pulling has been.

Every time I see old threads like this pop up, it usually reminds me of that Monty Python movie where the guy is walking through town with a wheelbarrow yelling "Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!"
