HIDs are direct fitment for any headlamps with h4 housing, such as the Cefiro headlights. What you would have to modify are the brackets that support your stock headlights in the car and not the headlights themselves.

Just like anything else when it comes to modding... you don't have to buy the HID kit if it's not within your budget... but it's an option for someone who's got the loot.

quick question:

If I just want to replace the housing, except for the bracket mods,
is everything else plug-n-play? I mean, will my regular bulbs and
high beams still work like normal?

thanks,

Are these headlight housings projector style?

I am assuming that they use the stock 9004 bulbs with the option of upgrading to H4 (which is dual filament as well)?

Details please... thanks.

Dopefish: h4 harness www.autobarn.com
Shop is located in New York City. 50% deposit is required to reserve your headlights.

FLO_BOY : You would need to convert from 9004 to the h4, which involves tapping into your stock wiring harness. Once you do so, you'll be able to get hi/lo, just as you would get with 9004.. except output will be noticibly better than 9004

speedemn: There headlights are not 'projector' style. These Cefiro headlights do not use stock 9004, these headlights are made for H4 housing. You would need to get wiring harness (autobarn.com), connectors (Radioshack or Home Depot) and H4 bulbs (you can get them from AutoZone or PepBoys).

How r the beam patterns with HIDs on the cefiro housing?? Currently I get high beam all the time with HIDs on a 99 housing. Is there a projector style housing somewere for 4th gen ? Is there a way to correct or adjust the beam pattern ?

Here's a pic of the beam pattern of when I first installed the lights:

since then, I've readjusted the headlights and reaimed them. Also, that pics is before the HID's warmed up

hey im interested in the headlights and the harnesses. I was wondering if i can pay you in person. Since i live in New York and from what i understand you work in New York. Maybe i can come to your shop tomorow (if u work tomorow) and pay you. But this all depends on your shops location. So if you can please let me know where your shop is so that i can deside if i am able to pay you in person or not.

Which HID kit are you using?? I also have Cefiro headlight installed but my beam pattern is so much different than yours.

By the way, I'm using Catz H4 hi/lo kit.

I'm using Ange's(redlinemax.com) purple 6500k kit. Since I've taken the picture, I've refitted my headlights to make them fit a lot better and now my beam pattern is a lot better. I can take some pictures tonight, if it's not raining outside

i was doing some searching on the forum and i found a few posts saying that these lights will not fit on a 95-99 max wihtout major bodywork, but the pics in the original post of this group deal showed the lights on a 4th gen and didnt look like it had any bodyworrk done at all.

does there need to be anyhting done to get them fitted on? is it a direct bolt-on? or do u have to modify the brackets or anything?

thanks

You have to do some cutting behind the headlights (brackets). Then there is also a little gap on the fender

I want to be in on the next HID/Cefiro light GD you run. I was wondering if you offer install as well on these packages. I have a 96 I30--so I don't need any special work--just the electrical---which I can't do. I am in MA and will travel to NY if you offer install on these kits.

Thank you for your time
