changing thermostat on VG please help me locate!!

Yes I know you want to send me a link of chilton manual or the haynes manual that i have in my hands section 3 page 38. but looking at diagram I am having trouble locating same configuration. Im assuming it is near waterpump and alternator where the belts are running but am not finding it according to description on page. and i quote"It may be neccessary to remove the radiator shroud, coolant fan assembly and water suction pipe retaining bolts go gain access to the thermostat housing. ....The thermostat is located at the front of the engine directly above the water pump. I see the hose above the water pump look at image and help me identify the thermostat location. www.geocities.com/azmalu/thermostat.html

im going to take an educated guess this is where it was on my transam. the upper radiator hose take the hose off from the engine side over the water pump. then take off the waterneck under the hose it should be in there.
