My car was broken into twice and i'm glad that it only resulted in one wing window. Real sorry about the loss, I can't imagine coming out of a store or my house looking at an empty void.

Someone broke into my car last week without breaking my window. I knew that they had bypassed my alarm because the fuse box on the drivers side had fuses on the carpet. They stole 0ver 40 cds under my seat, and my new sony xplod detatchable face and pacesetter short throw shifter in the glove box. They left a half eaten cheeseburger and fries on the top of my car.
Thankgod that they could not find my trunk button, to take my kicker solobaric L5 and kenwood amp, wspd y-pipe(installed now),and $278 in super white paint from paintscratch.com

You know there is a trunk release kill switch in the trunk, so that you can only get in with the key. That way, theives can't just hit the button on your door and make off with your subs. They can however, break the lock.

Yeah and if they **** up the trunk to steal your stuff then you have to pay for repairs to your car and you are without the subs and amp. I would rather have someone just take the stuff I have in my trunk rather than have them kill my car trying to get to it... but I dont have much in my trunk just a couple of subs (wedged in pretty tight) and some golf clubs.

Spazz... you're hilarious (and probably right on the money, too)!! But I agree with Chris... and this from a former "not-so-nice" guy. It was fun when I did it to people, but once it was done to me, the fun left right along with my stereo, amps, money, etc...

I forgot to mention as to how it happened: So me and my significant other, on Saturday night, decide to go clubbing here in Boston. I couldn't find parking near the **** Theater area, so I parked like four blocks away, near the Chinatown area. I come back at 2 a.m. and my max is not there. At first, i though the tow truck had taken it. Called the tow place and no luck. So I go and file a police report.

The car was found on Thursday, 5 days later. Needless to say, the only thing left was the dynamat on the panels and floor.

The insurance gave me $2,400 minus the deductible. What ****es me off is that three months ago, I had replace the timing belt, water pump, etc.

As to what I am getting, my friend is selling his 1997 Honda Accord LX, which has leather, V-6, 17 inch rims, and only 57,000 miles. He wants $5,000 for it. I think it's a good deal considering the milage. I promise it won't become rice =)

You can probably apply the recent cost of the new timing belt, water pump etc. towards the value of the car. I know other people did.
