The best place to mount the LED of the PAC adapter-HELP

I was mounting the PAC LED next to my headunit. Since i have Sony with flipping face, the interface is acting well while the HU face is down, but once it goes up, i guess the HU can't detect the signal from the interface. No matter what i pressed, nothing happened.....

I am just thinking where are the better places to mount the PAC LED.

Thanks

I have a friend who worked in the car stereo installation department at Circuit City, he said they mount them in the steering column on the side facing the radio. This is where I plan to put mine when I get around to replacing my head unit and speakers. Good luck!

I put mine in one of the 2 "option" slots just below the arm rest, where the heated seats switches are supposed to go. just drilled a hole in one, slid the bulb in there and it works great.

I have the SWI-X, but haven't installed it yet. I did a search and read about how someone installed in the map light. I think it was Studman if I remember correctly.

Try to install it anywhere that sunlight will not hit it. My friend's PAC doesn't work when the sunlight is blaring on the little sensor. He has to "shade" it with is hand, and then change stations, etc.
