for what its worth, i like the JMS lower grill 1000 times better than i like the grill tech lower grill. im impartial when it comes to the upper grills.

ive met and talked to Jay from JMS more than a handful of times. he is a good person. very interested in making customers happy.
im not sure about the reputation for the grills themselves. i had both (upper and lower) and i had no problems with mine. i havent read any negative comments about them at all.

I had the JMS upper and lower grills, but returned them both. Newman is right, Jay from JMS is a great guy. And his grills are aluminum and WILL NOT rust like grille-tech ones do. Now on to the negatives which caused me to return both of them...
- The JMS grills have dimples in them and are INCREDIBLY easy to bend. Just look at his own pictures on his site and you'll see what I mean. As soon as you take a few steps back from the car the first thing you notice is the dimples all around the edges. They almost look like they were banged into shape with a hammer. 4 different people mentioned it the first time they saw mine installed...not a good thing when you just spent over $150 for the set.
- The fit is 100% not right on a 2003. The upper is way off along the bottom and the sides so it doesn't come close to sitting flush against the bumper. The lower one was just as bad, it's all one piece and I had almost 1/2" of empty space on both the driver and passenger sides. Which leads to the next problem.
- The rubber molding around the edges is not glued or attached in any way, so it falls off with the slightest touch. Jay said that it should be compressed between the grill and the bumper, which would be fine except that only about 75% of his upper grill actually touches the bumper.
- On his site it says "Our grills require absolutely no drilling or screwing to install." When I called Jay to talk about how poorly these grills fit, he told me that on a 2003 I had to screw down the pillar behind the upper grill in order for it to fit right. Not even a part of his grill, he wanted me to screw down a part of the car itself! This is a blatant contradiction. ***EDIT*** - It looks like that sentence was taken off the site in the last few days, I saw it on Monday or Tuesday of this week when I was setting up the return of my grills.
I'm not trying to hate on JMS Products, I just want other org members to have all the info before they spend over $150 on the product like I did. I have some pics of my upper before I returned it if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about.

the dimples looks more noticeable on the lower grille..dont know if it would be different for the Max though..but ya I wanna see pics too..this really plays a big part if I want to order the new Aero lip kit and the grille, or just getting the whole new Stillen bumper..

what the heck? I haven't had any problems with mine. The grill techs won't rust if you clear coat them first.
