What should I do?

My max is a a 1995 SE, but has 238,000 miles on it! It was never driven hard though and I am the second owner. I plan to turbocharge it in the near future. My question is: Should I swap the motor with a new one or would it be fine as long as I put in 9:1 compression pistons and custom rods? ...Or Both?

I whould buy a new motor. There is no need for pistons and rods if you do not go over 10 (psi).I am a newbe so I am sorry if I am wrong.

I would do a rebuild before boosting. If you plan on lowering compression anyway, go ahead and freshen up the top-end and have the heads re-seated. It's going to be cheaper when you have the motor torn apart already than doing it later.

If the block is good, just the internals freshened up will do just fine.
