Shaved my trunk lid (pics)

Hey guys, I don't post much here. I am usually just lurking around, abusing the search function.

I doubt any of you remember but I used to own a Black 92 Maxima (Blaxima) with some fiberglass work done on the interior. Well I smashed that one up about a month ago but I got my stereo and all the fiberglass stuff out.

I managed to find another 92 within a week in better condition than my old one. Anyways, here's what I spent my weekend doing, I think I am going to redo the whole body on this car so I'll get around to painting it all later.

The tail lights dont line up perfectly but I think its impossible to line up both the tail lights and the bottom of the bumper to the trunk lid

inner trunk lid details, I used expanding foam on the trunk lid but it still rattles. My amps and fiberglass amp rack are still to go on the trunk lid sometime this week

I welded in a piece of sheet metal that I cut using the old light as a guy, I used a large piece of ABS tubing as a roller to get the light curve in the piece. Then I welded in some metal filler pieces on the sides. I think my buddy has a couple contruction pics of it on his camera, which I can post when I get them.

Here are some random pictures of my cars.

This sub enclosure is for sale if anyone wants it, it holds 2 10" subs and has a total airspace of ABOUT 1.75 cubic feet, fits with no modification into any 3rd gen Maxima I believe

To get the taillight and bumper both to lign up you have to do it in 2 or 3 pieces. That is how Jasons is done and a couple of others too.

Shavedmax doesnt count because his is totally custom anyway lol.

i did mine in two pieces, i made a frame first so that i knew where the edges would be then welded the metal on top. from what i see it looks good.

Sorry about not posting pics yet, I am still trying to find all the contruction pics and pics of the box from different angles. If you still want the box, I'll let it go for $100 USD and you pay shipping. I put about 50 hours into making it and about $150 worth of supplies. I just didn't like the way it sounded, I wanted louder so I built a gigantic ported box. It's in primer right now and with less than 4 hours of bodywork it could be ready for paint (its about 90% perfectly smooth)

start with a welder and some sheetmetal. if you havent welded before, consider having someone else do it or practicing on scraps before dooing it. word of advice, dont shave the back dooe handles if you arent going to do the front. that just looks butt
