Ok, I hope sumbody has theses!!!!!

Hey guys, sum of u guys will remember my problem with getting a FTSB. My pump housing for my brakes gets in the way for 1, so I'm getting a guy to make me one from scratch!! Well, what I really need is the measurements for the couples that go on the strut & how far the holes are from each other. & also the bar itself. If u guys dont know what I mean, I do have a pic of my problem. So, any suggetsions would be really appreciated

If nobody else gets it, I'll get the measurements from MY FSTB in the morning and post 'em. The bar might be different since I have a VE and you have a VG, but that should at least put you in the ballpark.

I guess the main thing I would need is the bar where the bolts go too. I am going to have it sorta curve out to go around the pump housing. As far as the bar, the guy will make from scratch too, but the measurements for that will be good to. Thanks very much for that. I hope I can return the favour if this works for me

I just looked at you pic on pg6 and have you checked to see if anyone has a FSTB that has the bar mounted to the front part of the loop?
(did that make any sense?)
From the pic at least it looks like that would solve your problem

have you tried a FSTB? I really do not see a problem here because I have 2 bars and both of them have the bracket go on the front side (toward the front of the car) of the middle bolt of the strut. That is far enough out to clear your brake booster/master cylinder according to your pics.

The Max has a FSTB on his maybe you should pm him and see what he says. His is an aussie max so the configuration is probably the same.

EDIT: I was just looking at a pic of his FSTB and it appears the bracket is farther toward the front than mine are so maybe he got a special one or had it made.

The easiest thing to do would be to get a cheap bar and cut the bracket off where the bar mounts and just re weld it farther toward the front of the car. THat would be easier and cheaper than getting one custom made

I got a FSTB off chris smalley a few months back for my maxxie, the only problem i had was the hose... moved the hose aside (you know that hose that is attached to that bracket near the nut) and problem solved.

It's an eBay FSTB...

I did a write up on how to install one after i got it...

Check out the piccies in the article...

Hey

Sorry I do not want to post someone elses pictures. He may not want it posted. Email or PM him (The Max) and he will probably help you out.

and I see the problem you are having...thats why I said email or PM him...because he is RHD too and has a fstb.

good luck...hopefully you can either have one re welded or custom made.

Yeah, thats a 200sx/sentra strut brace. That picture is of a b14 200sx (basically a sentra).

Here's an ebay auction with it for sale:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2437319632

You may not be able to use the bar that goes across, but you certainly can use the mounting brackets (and I think they are the same as a maxima, just not as far apart since the car is narrower).

So you just use the brackets from the 200sx bar and the actual bar from your maxima brace.

HTH.

Yeah, I know about auto maxis. Well, when I have to get a new trans., going to get a 5-speed instead. Guy told me its going to be the same as getting a second hand trans. Man, read the thread about ure max, that sucks BIG time. Hey, can I have the FTSB?

I'll get back to you on the FSTB... but if you want it I'll sell it to ya... I won't be selling my car till around november, so any aftermarket parts that I can take out... I'll take them out (Will need to find a stock air box.....), and sell it (except for the K&N pod coz i can put that in my new car).

Probably looking at $AU60 + shipping for the FSTB (I only got it a couple of months back).
