car shakes at 60

I was thinking it would need wheel balancing or the treds are uneven? Am I right or is it something else?

I'd strongly suggest looking at your CV Joints. Check the little rubber boots, if they are torn then most likely its vibrating because youve been riding on torn boots for a while. Which means that there is grease everywhere except for in the CV joint and the CV axle is shot. Thus resulting in vibration at high speeds.

Check your wheel balance.
Tire pressure
Alignment
Bent rim.

Check those. They are common reasons for high speed vibrations.

Have your tires ever been patched or plugged? I looked at my tires after they were supposedly "patched" by Goodyear, but when I looked at them about half a year later you can tell that it was plugged. I now notice that some parts of my tire are wearing out unevenly...as if they bounce while driving. There are vibrations...and I think it's because of the plugged tire.
