UGH!! Parts Catalog CD

Has anyone bought this Nissan Part Catalog CD from ebay or elsewhere. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2437262648 I bought this item and got it today. The instruction for installation was beyond my comprehension. I follow exactly what it said, yet it doesn't even work. I sent an email to the seller I bought, he hasn't return my question. Has anyone bought these before. I could use some help.

Welcome to the club....I had bought this CD also a while back and it's been sitting around since! You must follow the instructions exactly in the help topics. I used the "RUN" command it suggested and when it loaded, I had trouble displaying the charts. This CD is definitely a copy of somekind, but only works on certain computers!

Just out of curiousity, why did/would you buy that at all? It's obviously a scam.

How would you know it's a scam. I bought it since I thought it's neat to have it on computer to check on 3-D parts so i can order part if i need something replace. Save time from flipping through the book. But I don't have the book since they don't sell for the 5th gen. yet

how do you get it to work. PM me or email me, since I'll give you the detail of the instruction I followed to install and if you did the same way, so we can figure out what I might been missing something.

Post what errors you're getting.
I'll try installing it on another computer at my house to see how I got it to work. I'll post what I find.

Because its software thats sold on ebay. I wouldn't buy anything off of there that wouldn't have any way of being physically repaired or reprogrammed. Aside from possible scams with burnt cd's that haven't been tested, there's soo many things that can happen to that cd in transit.
