It was hard to tell just by the rim shots, but in the ones you just posted with them on your car I can tell they are not.

 

Very nice Andy. How much do they weigh? I found that the 15x7 rims are 9.1 lbs. I can imagine your size rims to be unbelievably light also.

I got my 15x6 11lb Millenia wheels. haha just kidding man. Are you going to run with these at Fontana and hope they give you the traction you deserve?

Since you are going so light on wheels, I would recommend getting Toyo Proxes T1-S tires. They are the lightest and stickiest tire out there. I made a mistake and got Yoko AVS ES100. Don't get me wrong, they are awesome tires for the money, but they are HEAVY compared to other tires of the same size. Like 3 lbs heavier than Kuhmos. Pay attention to unsprung weight. It's important in going fast, handling well, and braking. I'm sure you know that. Hence the reason you got those sick wheels from Japan. Well done man.

 

I have always liked those wheels. With the different shape of the front and backs though I guess you won't be doing much rotating of your tires eh?

 

Very nice dude. I must commend you. If you are able to get less than 17lbs for a 17x9 wheel, that is SICK. My Subzeros are 17x7.5 and they are 16.5 lbs. But that's a 7.5 inch wide wheel. If Subzero made a 17x9, I'm sure it would be over 20lbs.

I hope they didn't break the wallet too bad. Oh yeah, Fontana still hasn't released a schedule. But this past weekend was the last event of the season. I think they mean, "summer" season and not season season. I hope to make it out there when it gets cold in Dec. But nobody knows since I don't have a dang schedule. lol

Your setup look georgeous. I assume they are 8 inch wide for the fronts and 9 inch wide for the rear (235 for fronts and 265 back)?

Would you mind letting me know the offset on those wheels (back and front)?

No they don't really compare to the Volks (I assume you're talking about the quinessential TE-37). In 17x9 I found them as low as $301 a piece with just 3 minutes of searching. I'm sure a more thorough search would yeild lower prices. You can expect to pay well over $500 a piece for the same size TE-37. Almost double the price of the RP-F1. Weight would be about the same however. People think TE-37s are the lightest wheel around. They are light but there are lighter wheels out there.

I really like these wheels, they look hot!

If these Enkei wheels are close to Volks in terms of weight, does it make sense for someone to buy Volks over these and pay ~$200 extra on each wheel? I know Volks are high quality manufactured, but how do these Enkei wheels compare in terms of quality? Are these prone to damage more easily?

sry for all the dumb questions, I am thinking about buying new wheels in a few months and want to put my money in something that will last me a long time and stand up in performance.
