wtf? no incabin filter?!!

decided to clean incabin microfilter.....took out glove box and bam!! No f*cking filter! what's up with nissan cutting corners like that....there was lots of dust in the area where the filter should be, so i just vacuumed as much as possible.....one more reason for me to go towards the manual g35 sedan( if anything for better dealer services and of course a better vehicle)....just sick of nissan dealership services and all......

Mine didnt have one either. Are you sure your car is supposed to have it. It was an option not all maximas came with. I just bought the filter and put it in.

In-cabin filters are expensive and Nissan charges like $70 to install them. I wanted to do it myself so bad but I didnt even know where it was let alone know to remove it. .I guess I need to read my manual more. . .

It all depends on the production date of the car.

I washed mine last night no problems. Remove the glovebox, don't disconnect yellow airbag connector, remove 2 fastners from top of glove box to separate yellow connector. Filter has white cover, remove clip at bottom slide cover up then out, remove filter, wash, dry, reinstall, reassemble.

your manual tells you how often you need to replace it in the maintanance schedule section. my 2k says at 45k miles.

Mossy changes the filter for you when / if you go in for the 15k checkup , 30k checkup, etc.
