20s on a 3rd gen, im getting closer

well, i almost got them right. i will have the new nitto 225/35/20s in the front. seeing how almost all 20s are 8.5 inches wide, fwd offsets will not fit on the maxima due to the shock tower. im running rwd offset of 15 mm and have about 1/4 inch clearence. new 7.5 inch wide 20s might fit. will i be the first to have 20s on a 3rd gen? i have the wheels on the back riding perfect even in down town where the roads are ****, but they will not tuck.

any ideas of stiffer springs for a maxima and or ones that will raise the car 2 inches, and any places in south carolina that will roll a finder out.

No offense, but that is one of the ugliest 3rd gens that I've ever seen. I understand that it's your car, but its a freaking car. Not a truck. They dont make lift kits for cars

They are just too damn big to where they jack the car up. Unless you are just dead set on 20s, I'd sell them and get some 18s with a nice drop. Your car will thank me later

That looks so disproportioned it's not even funny.

God I thought the pics were photoshopped at first because it looked so ridiculous but then I read that they were real

Just look at the pickup in the background and then look at your car. That is just not right man.

Is it just me or does the wheel face totally eclipse the brakes???

Well it's nice to see someone sticking to their guns despite what everyone else says... that being said... personally... I absolutely hate dubs on cars.... especially bling bling dubs...

i think every one are being way too harsh!!!

with some sort of body kit to give the car a bit more of a ground effect
i think it would look pretty good!

i dunno i kinda like it!

by the way matt, i hope you changed your mind cause YOU aint feelin it, and not cause some people were hatin on the rims bro!

they dont fit the car, and the style of the rims is kinda gawdy , but it if you like it fine. Sometimes I dont understand why people put 20's on a car just to say they have 20's I mean if it makes the car look better thats cool but on a stock max with a stock suspension it just doesnt work for me, is it just so you can say that youve got 20's? I know Dubs are cool and everyone talks about them but not a on a 3rd gen worth less than the wheels.

For the love of Bling!Bling! I like the rims and the idea, and I wonder what it would look like with a kit and airbags, or something for an extreme drop.......damn it i've been on ghetto car sites too much lately www.dropjawmag.com where the cars are gansta and the so are the hoez lol

main thing is because i wanted wheels that fit the wells and didnt have room from the side of the well to the side if i dropped it. but now i see that it does sit to high even tho i like the high ride, its just to big. also with 18s i can have them ride just like my stock wheels and have them tuck if i lower it a little. and who wants to pay $225 on a 20 inch wheel, when it gets warn down.

i like how 5 star rims look on a maxima so what do you think about this. with 225/40/18 yoko tires. this will keep my spedo pretty close.

and the max is not stock on the inside it has much audio inside

After a body kit I think they might look pretty nice. I imagine you're not done with modifying your car right?

Those 20's could look really good on your car. But you are going to have to drop it A LOT. Seriously you should put your car on air suspension and do whatever mods are necessary to tuck those wheels. If you lived closer to me, I would help with all the work because it would just look so good.

the whole phat chrome ghetto rim look is just sickening. it looks like some housing project gangsta sh*t thinking it is all that. just awful taste. that whole thing just should die: the whole gigantic razor spoke ghetto chrome look is so absolutely gay. especially those faddish spinner rim things that are suddenly everywhere now.

i like the lowered sunrise orange 3rd gen though, eventhough itz lowriderskool. it is done well.

matt90max, lower your car dude. and tone the chrome thing down. a polished lip can look nice with darker spokes. especially on your gunmetal colored paintjob.

those belong on a tahoe, or some other truck. Your rims defintly wont make the cover of Dubs Magazine yo! downsize to 18's, and keep it clean and simple.

it's a modified version of inca gold pearl, a 2001 civic color, only offered that year, so it is pretty rare, and we spotted some at a car show(me jason and izzy) and it was similar, but since i changed some of the pigments, you really couldnt say they were the same
