did you take out the screw that is in the little handle that you grab when closing the door???
this little screw will hold it and you won't be able to take it off.

1. Pop off trim around door handle & lock
2. Take off screw inside cup shaped handle on door
3. Take off screws underneath door
4. Pop off window controls
5. Pry door off (held on by clips)

I think that's everything

you don't need to pop off the window controls. you can unhook that once the door panel is off the door, you just reach behind it. that's always the way i've done it. other than that, you do what everyone else has said. sometimes it is tough pulling it from the top but you just wiggle it and it should come right off. goodluck

ps. what lil project are you doing?
